Dojang Etiquette
Dojang - Place of participating of the martial arts - Halls, Gyms or Sport Centres
Bow upon entering and leaving the Dojang.
Bow to instructors and Black Belts as they enter the Dojang (Usually Very High Grades 6th Dan)
Respect at all times the instructor and fellow students, regardless of age or sex.
The Taekwondo uniform (Dobok) should always be clean and worn correctly. Only under special circumstances should the Dobok be worn outside the Dojang.
Respect the Dojang and all its equipment.
Where possible inform the instructor of absence from training.
Do not interrupt the instructor, bow to the instructor before and after speaking to them.
Do not eat, drink or smoke inside the Dojang.
Don not demand or expect respect from anyone, you will always earn respect and admiration from your correct actions.
When bowing to the instructor and fellow students of all grades do not look at them, lower your head, if you do not you are sowing mistrust and disrespect.
